Renovation of the architectural monument into a theatre

Renovation of the architectural monument:
hostelry building near Pokrovskie Vorota (1810-1830) by architect Stasov V.P., Moscow
The main idea of this study project was to renovate the 19th-century building in the center of Moscow which is in very bad condition  nowadays and had no repairs in last 40 years.
Today the first floor and the basement of the building is used by several renters like cafes' owners, product shops. The second floor is in very bad condition because of the old constructions of the floor and ceiling.
According to the fact that this building is considered as a architectural monument I tried to place inside it a new volume with a new function of the theatre. And it was important to make it in the way that new volume wouldn't destroy the appearance of the building.
Another problem that needed to be solved was the appearance of the end of Chistoprudniy boulevard.
If the building receives the new public function it should be recognizable from the boulevard and nearby streets and connected with the pond.
That why I established a system of three-dimensional frames passing through the building in the side of the boulevard. These frames can be used as a venue for theater posters, advertising space, installations and panels for water flowing  into a pond.
Аuditorium is designed for 600 seats.
Volume of a monument is used for spectator facilities complex, office spaces and spaces for actors such as make-up rooms, dressing rooms and rehearsals without changing its structural elements.
